ANIMATION (3D)

ANIMATION is an add-on under development, which for now serves to visualise landscapes. Every scenario can be the basis for a 3D animation. With the help of an editor, the flight trace of a camera can be defined. The camera perspective is flexible as well. Alternatively, also a rotating visualisation can be produced, which turns around its axis. Additionally, landscape aspects can be highlighted by using a factor of superelevation. This can be helpful in order to illustrate functions and processes in very flat landscapes.
Animated GIF files or AVI files re produced on serve side and can be watched online or stored on your local computer.

Further working steps are:

• the production of “surfaces”, which are texture-like properties, which facilitate a more realistic visualisation of land use types and

• the simulation of temporal progress including light and shadow effects (e.g. sunrise to sunset).
